____ always ate all that had been fed to it (no more and no less),
而且可以连续的吃（让它什么时候吃就什么时候吃）
and would start eating again whenever feeding resumed
注:
would 相当 will 的过去式,如果想整个句子变现在式,就改 would 成 will
whenever = 任何时间 = "什么时候"
