马克斯普朗克高分子研究所招博士生
Project and activities
The aim of the project is to study the effect of the self-assembly properties of organic semiconductors on the charge carrier transport. Additionally the role of the micro-, macrostructure and surface morphology on the charge trapping at the dielectric/ semiconductor interface in field-effect transistors will be investigated.
What are we looking for?
A PhD position in the Organic Field-Effect Transistor group led by Dr. Tomasz Marszalek in the Department of Molecular Electronics at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz is available immediately. The selected candidate will conduct cutting edge research at the interface of physics, chemistry, and materials science. In particular, the research is focused on the correlation between molecular self-assembly properties and supramolecular structures of organic semiconductors and their charge carrier transport. The research areas include fundamental device physics of field-effect transistors and their components based on polymers and small molecules. The candidate will gain fundamental knowledge in molecular electronics, self-assembly of nanostructures and X-ray diffraction methods.
We are therefore looking for a highly motivated student with a background either in physics, chemistry, polymer science, materials science or related fields, to carry out the following tasks:
Requirements
processing of organic semiconductor thin films,
micro- and macrostructure characterization by atomic force microscopy and X-ray techniques,
electrical characterization and evaluation of key processing/device parameters.
Salary for the appointment will be consistent with the Max Planck Society guidelines for PhD students.
Candidates should send their application electronically containing an application letter, CV, diploma/degree/mark sheet (official transcript), and reference letters to marszalek@mpip-mainz.mpg.de. Applications will be considered until the position is filled. 返回小木虫查看更多
