【求助】Catalysis Communications是收费期刊吗？
写了一篇催化剂制备方面的论文，篇幅比较短，准备投个Letters或者Communications之类的期刊。
但是看了一下，Catalysis Communications的“Guide for Authors ”说：
This journal offers you the choice of making your article freely available to all on Elsevier's electronic publishing platforms. The charge for article sponsorship is $3,000, which is necessary to offset publishing costs.

是不是说这个期刊要3000美金的版面费，这也太贵了吧
还有哪些Letters或者Communications之类的期刊?

这几个全不收。催化类杂志的收费的还没听说（除国内的），也许有。

这句话是说， 如果你要你的文章可以free 下载的话， 你就要交钱，
现在国外的英文杂志基本都不收版面费了

没听说过还要收费的，你以为是国内期刊啊。
收录后他给你２０００＄的赞助费，不过你还要交２０００＄的出版费，两方面正好抵消了
