Title: Heterogeneous Catalysts for H2 Production, CO2 Utilization, and NOx Reduction

Recently, more and more researches have been focused on CO2 utilization and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx due to growing environmental awareness. The carbon dioxide capture and conversion, along with hydrogen from renewable resources, provide an alternative approach to the synthesis of useful fuels and chemicals. Furthermore, the NOx reduction, NOx oxidation combined with wet absorption method provide a systematic way to reduce NOx emissions. To realize this process, considerable efforts have been made to develop high-efficiency catalysts. Therefore, this Research Topic focuses on heterogeneous catalysts for H2 production, CO2 utilization, and NOx reduction via thermal, electro, and photocatalytic approaches.
Potential topics include, but not limited to, the following:
Advances in the synthesis methods for heterogeneous catalysts
Novel in-situ characterization methods for heterogeneous catalysts
Hydrogen production from renewable resources via photocatalytic or electrocatalytic water splitting
CO2 hydrogenation to high-value products, e.g., methane, methanol, light olefines, and fuels
NOx absorption by wet adsorption method, and selective catalytic reduction of NOx
