    Dear Dr. *****,

I am pleased to tell you that your work has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Soils and Sediments.

    It was accepted on 17-08-2010.

Thank you for submitting your work to this journal.

    With kind regards,

    Zhihong Xu, Ph.D.
    Editor-in-Chief
    Journal of Soils and Sediments
    但是还有审稿意见,
    Dear Dr.*****:

Thank you for submitting your revised manuscript entitled: Chemical properties, microbial biomass, and activity differ between soils of organic and conventional horticultural systems under greenhouse and open-field management: a case study (formally Microcalorimetric study of changes in soil microbial biomass and activity for organic and conventional arable farming systems).  I believe that you and your co-authors have done a very effective and thorough job of responding to reviewer comments.  I appreciate your efforts to highlight these changes in the revised manuscript, it made re-reviewing the manuscript quite easy. My concerns with the lack of site description and statistical treatment of the data have been adequately corrected.

There remain a number of minor editorial problems (e.g. some grammatical errors, table references should be in title case, some minor problems with references), but these would only take a moment to fix. Some sentences are worded in a manner that makes them somewhat misleading given that this is a case study (e.g. Page 13 Line 3, this sentence is worded to suggest that fertilizers and manures do not cause salinization globally, yet this is a case study) and should probably be changed. In spite of these minor problems, I am recommending that this manuscript be accepted for publication in JSS.  It is possible, however, that you will be required to make these minor changes before final acceptance.

Good job on the revision of your manuscript and thank you for submitting your manuscript and revisions to JSS.  The results should be of great interest to agronomists and soil scientists interested in alternative agricultural practice.

    Sincerely,

    Thomas H. DeLuca

    Submission Editor

    编辑提到的这些还需要改吗?
    谢谢,
