One PhD Position is immediately available in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. We are now looking for one highly motivated PhD student dedicated to the cutting-edge research in wearable technology, functional polymer nanocomposites, strain/pressure sensors, and conductive polymers. One of our research focuses is MEMS/Nano hybrid systems for advanced engineering applications and high performance physical sensors based on functional nanostructures. The project that the candidate is expected to work on is mainly about study and development of micro/nanoelectromechanical systems for the application of stretchable and flexible pressure/strain sensors.
Located in Sydney, the University of New South Walges has a strong PhD program in Materials Engineering. The candidate will be given full financial supports during the time of graduate study. The candidate will be supervised by Dr Shuying Wu (ARC DECRA fellow) and Prof. Chun Wang (Head of School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering).
