有部恐怖片叫 "In the Tall Grass"

以上两句，译成 The soldier watched the enemies in the grass.好像都行（暂且撇开动词时态的问题）， in the grass 这个介词短语既可作状语修饰 watched 也可作定语修饰the enemies，但明显就有很大的歧义。不清楚外国人是如何处理这个问题的，楼主可能也是想搞清楚这个问题。
以我目前水平，我想作如下处理，不知行不行？

这士兵在草丛中监视敌人。
The soldier watched enemies from grass.
或者The soldier watched enemies through grass.

这士兵在监视草丛中的敌人。
The soldier watched the enemies ih the grass.
