PolyU has a new centre CAiRS (Centre for Advances in Reliability and Safety) supported by InnoHK.
There are PostDocs and Research Assistants positions at CAiRS.

CENTRE FOR ADVANCES IN RELIABILITY AND SAFETY LIMITED  
(1) Postdoctoral Fellow (two posts) (Ref. No.: CAiRS-R7/P2.1-2)
[Appointment period: each for thirty-six months]

(2) Research Assistant (two posts) (Ref. No.: CAiRS- R8/P2.1-2)
[Appointment period: each for thirty-six months]

主要研究内容：
The appointees will assist the project leaders in the research projects - “Transfer learning for adaptive diagnostics and simulation-based analysis” and/or “Ensemble methods for individualized fault diagnosis”. The projects will develop a systemic methodology for effective fault diagnosis and decision-making.  

Qualifications ：
（1）博士后要求：
Applicants for the post of Postdoctoral Fellow should have a doctoral degree from either a local university or a well-recognised non-local institution1 in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent qualification in a related field and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application. They should also have a strong analytical skill with interests in big data and artificial intelligence.  
（2）RA要求（Note: RA需要香港本地学位）：
Applicants for the post of Research Assistant should have a good bachelor/master degree awarded by a local university in Computing Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.  

For both posts, applicants should also have:  
(a) proficiency in database software and programming language (e.g. MySQL, Python);  
(b) good interpersonal and communication skills; and  
(c) a good command of written and spoken English.  
Preference will be given to those with research experience in machine learning and data science.
