the position is available immediately. applicants should have a recent master degree with a strong research record in solid mechanics: multi-scale/ multi-physics modeling of advanced materials, computational mechanics for materials, structures and energy systems in extreme environments.
this is a four-year research contract position. in the netherlands, phd candidate will be employed as junior researcher: they receive a good salary that is linked to funded research projects. the phd students have full benefit including pension, medical insurance, etc. you may also be eligible for a very attractive tax reduction arrangement according to “30% facility for incoming employees” (see the link 30% facility for incoming employees).
