PhD position:
Supramolecular Janus nanorods in aqueous medium
We will prepare Janus nanorods in aqueous medium. Such particles exhibit both shape anisotropy and two faces of different chemical nature[1]. These particles should find applications as emulsion stabilizers or smart templates. Our design is based on the spontaneous self-assembly of urea-based hydrogen bonding stickers[2] decorated on both sides by two incompatible polymers arms[3].

We are looking for a motivated candidate with practical experience in organic chemistry and polymer synthesis.
