植物学专业，两个月前投了bmc，最近返回来大修，在写response letter ，求助大家，非常感谢

三个审稿人，第二审稿人就写了一段话，只有一个问题，但是完全不知道要怎么回答。
原文：“even though the xxxxl and xxxxxx methods used were appropriate, i would advise to repeat the experiments on a few more xx and xxxx genotypes in order to be more convinced as a possible mechanism for xxxxx tolerance.”
想让我在更多材料上重复这个实验，补实验这是不可能的了，但是怎么委婉的解释让审稿人和编辑满意。
