PostDoc Position opened for Battery Thermal Management (BTM) at Ningbo University, China

The Group Leader of Renewable EnergiesLab at Ningbo University, China, is seeking a postdoctoral-level researcher to develop novel design and techniques for Battery Thermal Management Systems (BTMS) for electric vehicles or electric ships.

Description: We are interested in a PhD holder in thermal engineering and integrated energy systems. The candidates familiar with Li-Ion battery fundamentals and strong experiences in using commercial CFD software are preferred. The focus of the postdoc will be on the development ofvarious BTM approaches, e.g., air cooling, liquid cooling and cooling with phase change materials. Both numerical modeling and experimental validation of the BTM approaches will be performed.

Requirements: A PhD holder younger than 35 years old, who is highly motivated in self-planning and organizing in Thermal Engineering, Vehicle Engineering or Marine Engineeringor similar,
is essential with excellent capacity to work in a big research group, high flexibility and initiative to innovate. Experience in CFD and BTM will be positively evaluated.
Fluent English is mandatory.

Our offer: One year postdoctoral contract with further two years continuation (based on individual personal performance in the first year); the research team consisting of highly qualified and motivated researchers working in the frontiers of knowledge in renewable energy science and technology.

Thesalary/fellowship with a bonus slot will sum up to USD 40,000-45,000/year.   

Incorporation: The candidates should be available for starting before September 2019
