RESEARCH ASSISTANT

INTRODUCTION
We are the solar energy research group in Physics Department in CUHK. We have been developing second generation thin film solar cells (named CIGS solar cells) for the past ten years and are now among the top researchers of this field in the world.
WHO WE NEED
We are now recruiting two junior research assistants (Full Time) for our new project. We expect you to be familiar with at least one of the following area: semiconductor physics, thin film manufacturing, laser(pico-second) scribing technology, vacuum instrumentation and technology, . Priorities will be given to those who intend to further their careers in Photovoltaic industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.        Growing CIGS solar cells using technology including: Sputtering, PVD, E-beam evaporation, Chemical bath deposition, etc.;
2.        Developing new buffer layer deposition technology for CIGS solar cells and modules;
3.        Performing material tests using XRF, SEM, XRD, etc.
4.        Keeping facilities in good running condition.
REQUIREMENTS
1.        First-degree or above in a relevant field in one of the local universities.
2.        Applications with no prior experience will be evaluated by their academic performances and FYP experiences.
