We are seeking a PhD student to join a bioinformatics group based at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Engineering, University of Manitoba and Data Science Platform of George and Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation. The student will develop innovative statistical learning algorithms to integrate cancer genomic, imaging and interactome data.

The successful candidate should have a thesis-based Master's degree in statistics or biostatistics. The successful candidate should also have good programming skill using R and have a GPA >3.5 of 4.5.

The position will begin on January 2, 2018. The successful candidate will register in the PhD program in the Department of Statistics at the University of Manitoba. The position will be funded $20,000 per year for 4 years.
