Two Ph.D. Positions are available at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, starting in August 2017.  Candidates have a master degree and research experience in one or more of these fields: ceramics, metals, laser processing, corrosion, electron microscopy, irradiation damage.  If you have published papers, please include the information in your CV.  

The research will develop advanced materials that can endure extreme environments, such as high temperature, irradiation, and corrosive liquid or gas, for nuclear energy, petroleum and aerospace applications.  The successful candidate will join in Materials for Extreme Environments Lab at the department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL).
