In my opinion, analysis using MS detection would be necessary to identify, at least, the major compounds of the sample. In that case, the results section could be improved because the fingerprinting differences could be attributed to known compounds.

感觉是在让你补实验啊。可以说,连接质谱虽能更好的确认化合物,但文中所述五个化合物都较常见,紫外特征明显(希望你是DAD检测器)通过UV足以进行鉴别。
补充:普通紫外检测器,非二极管。文章的核心内容是一个中药成方制剂的指纹图谱研究,5个成分的定量属于补充和完善,5个成分分别为咖啡酸、甘草酸、染料木素、大黄酸、汉黄芩苷。大神指点啊
审稿人认为楼主仅仅使用的紫外检测器对化合物进行识别是不可靠和不精确的,最好应该用质谱的方法。楼主能否补充一下质谱的检测结果呢?若质谱的检验结果仍然支持原来的结论,那么文章说不定就会被accepted接受了,
