Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Momentive Performance Materials, a leading producer of specialty silicones, organofunctional silanes and silicone elastomers, has an opportunity in its Technology Analytical Department in Shanghai China for an analytical technician.  

Specific responsibilities include:

•        Conduct chemical or physical laboratory tests to assist Chemists with timely analysis and report generation of analytical results.  
•        Provide and maintain a safe and 5S work environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:
•        Bachelor degree (at a minimum) in Chemistry related areas with experience in industry laboratory preferred
•        Hands-on operation experience of modern analytical instrumentation such as chromatography(GC, GPC, HPLC etc.), spectroscopy(NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis etc.), thermal analysis(DSC, TGA), Titration and specialized sample preparation techniques
•        Working knowledge of PC applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, etc.)
•        Be able to prioritize and handle multi-task simultaneously and communicate well with others in a cross-functional global team environment
•        Excellent oral and written communication in Mandarin. Fluent in English is a plus
•        Demonstrated ability to follow all safe work practices guidelines
