§1 applies to regular publication in the Journal. For OnlineOpen articles, where authors purchase open access, §2 applies. §3 applies to both kind of articles, regular publication in the Journal and OnlineOpen articles.
Answer Required有两个选项：1，Please select a response。 2，Yes, I agree to the terms and conditions and I am aware that §2 is valid for Online Open articles
但是1选择不了，选了1之后还让出现Please select a response的红字。并且进行下一页时要求选择“Answer Required”。
那么2，Yes, I agree to the terms and conditions and I am aware that §2 is valid for Online Open articles是什么意思啊，是要付费吗？

楼主需要换一个浏览器，这个是由于一些不可抗力导致的不能出现后续选项。
好像是由于这个出版社这个选项设置调用了谷歌框架，所以……
我记得好像需要win7下百度浏览器，开启加速模式，才能在选了s1之后看到后续的选项。
（这真的不是打广告）
当然，如果选了Open article的话，大多数情况下是需要付费的
