关于论文润色之后的一个问题（求助英语高手）
本人一篇论文有这么一句话：Dead-end filtration is easy to operate, but membrane fouling and concentration polarization are severe.
想表达的意思是：死端过滤操作简单，但膜污染及浓差极化严重。
论文给别人润色后变成这样了：Dead-end filtration is easy to operate, but membrane fouling and concentration polarization are complex.
请问各位高手，润色后的意思变了吗？

原句里面你的两个分句人家看不出来是从属关系，照着平行关系去改那也就难怪理解岔了

改后的意思变了。原句的逻辑关系不是很好(两句话的主语是不同的)，特别对于局外人来说。可以考虑：
Even though dead-end filtration is easy to operate, (yet) it results in a severe membrane fouling and a concentration polarization，
