最近收到封邮件，内容如下：
I am writing to invite you to submit an article to Advances in Fuzzy Systems, which is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles related to all aspects of the theory and applications of fuzzy subsets and systems. The journal has recently been accepted for coverage in the Emerging Sources Citation Index, which is a new edition of the Web of Science that is launching in November 2015. This means that any articles published in the journal will be indexed in the Web of Science at the time of publication.
想问一下，这个ESCI是个什么鬼，跟SCI有什么关系。

能被web of science 检索到应该就算sci吧
Yes, the journals index in this ESCI will not be issued an impact factor. However, each journal in this new index will be evaluated every year and those qualified will be transferred to SCIE. That's what I heard from Thomson Reuters in the meeting in Bangkok recently.

Hello! Some Journals mention that they are included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) by Thomson Reuters Web of Science Content. Anybody knows anything about it?
