化工 - 高分子材料 Postdoc Position Opening (博士后) at Arizona State University
ABOUT THE POSITION: Positions are available for Postdocs and Visiting Scholars in Chemical Engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. Jin Research Group (https://faculty.engineering.asu.edu/jin/) broadly seeks to design, synthesize, engineer, and characterize nano-structured polymeric materials that can help address technological issues in energy, the environment, and sustainability. We are seeking Postdoctoral Fellows with excellent training in any of the following areas: polymer sciences and chemistry, physics, and engineering, and with the strong motivations to develop new technologies and applications. Multiple postdoc positions are available. If you are interested in joining us, please send your CV to Prof. Kailong Jin (Email: kailong.jin@asu.edu). Let us explore together to bring innovative solutions to real-world challenges and applications.
ABOUT PI: Kailong Jin is currently an assistant professor in chemical engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy (SEMTE) at Arizona State University (ASU), where he began in 2020. He is also affiliated with the Biodesign Center for Sustainable Macromolecular Materials and Manufacturing (BCSM3) at ASU. Kailong Jin earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering with a Distinguished Graduate Researcher Award from Northwestern University under the direction of Professor John Torkelson. His graduate studies were focused on recyclable polymer networks and composites, thiol-ene chemistry, dynamic covalent chemistry, and nanoscale polymer thin films. Then, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Professors Frank Bates and Christopher Ellison in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota. His postdoctoral studies were focused on developing and processing sustainable polymers. His research at ASU broadly seeks to design, synthesize, engineer, and characterize functional polymeric materials that can help address technological issues in energy, the environment, and sustainability.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY: Arizona State University is one of the top universities (Tier 1) in the U.S., Located at Tempe, the heart of Phoenix metropolitan area, eight miles east from downtown Phoenix. ASU is ranked #216 in QS Global World Rankings 2022 and ranked No. 1 in both Innovation and Sustainability in the United States. Innovation and Sustainability can be found at all levels at ASU as we work toward solutions to the next great challenges of a complex future.
