NTU,SG----Research Fellow Recruitment
Position is available immediately for qualified candidate
We are recruiting a Research Fellow for a project on “Critical Event Monitoring and Situation Awareness for Resilience Cyber-Physical Systems”. The project is funded by National Research Foundation (NRF), Singapore, under the Future Resilient Systems-Stage II (FRS-II) programme. The research work will be carried out in Singapore.
The Research Fellow is expected to carry out studies on a few topics including
(i) the feasibility and limitations of existing devices applied in risk detection and situation awareness in power systems;
(ii) risk detection and situation awareness in power systems with multi-source information or incomplete/inaccurate information;
(iii) risk detection and situation awareness in distributed controlled power systems; and
(iv) scheme developments for situation awareness in power system recovery.
The research results shall be presented as publications, reports and simulation programs. Discussions and collaborations with industrial partners are expected to happen from time to time
The Research Fellow is expected to have an owned PhD degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, control system engineering or computer science, with solid background knowledge in at least one of the following areas (i) resilience of complex cyber-physical systems, (ii) signal processing for situation awareness; (iii) control of complex cyber-physical systems for system protection. Past research experiences in signal processing for situation awareness in cyber-physical systems, esp. power systems, or control of power systems for system protection shall be a big add. The Research Fellow is expected to have smooth programming skills and reasonably good oral/writing communication skills. Collaborations with teammates working for the same programme shall be carried out constantly.
