research assistant in urban economics

the position is associated with a research project in relation to venture capital and urban entrepreneurship. the project aims to bridge financial landscape and urban economic development in order to explore potential interactive mechanism between corporate financial operations and local economic contexts, particularly addressing the spatiotemporal heterogeneities of venture capitalists.

under this framework, we seek highly-motivated individuals with economics or human geography related background e.g. urban economics, real estate economics, finance, and economic geography etc. the ra is expected to play a role in data management, analytics and model specification. thus, robust skills in econometric modelling and spatial analysis are needed to fulfill this position. actor-based model, machine learning techniques or programming language will be a plus and favored.

a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.

contract type: flexible. part-time for phd students or full-time for fresh research graduates, particularly those who plan to apply for phd programs.
