具体的研究安排如下:
Topological phononics is blooming nowadays. It combines the concepts of artificial crystals for acoustic waves with group theory. Of special interest is the creation of phononic crystal waveguides with desirable properties such as single-mode operation, symmetry-protection, and a relative immunity against backscattering by defects. The doctoral work could include steps of theory (group theory applied to symmetry in physics, topology of band structures), numerical simulation (finite elements for acoustic and elastic waves), and the achievement of demonstration experiments with underwater acoustic waves, surface water waves, and/or elastic waves in plates.
