Ph. D. program position

We are looking for a student from the CSC program to join our lab. Our group is mainly working on developing and applying  bio/nano materials as carrier and adjuvants do develop innovative cancer vaccines and therapeutics. Several students from the CSC program have already joined our group.
The group of Dr. Cruz is focusing on developing innovative, nanoparticle-based vaccines to protect against viral infections. Currently, we are focusing on the rapid development of a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. Therefore we are looking for a student that is interested in:

- Developing and characterizing nanoparticles
- Loading nanoparticles with viral antigens and nucleic acids,
- Characterizing nanoparticle uptake and antigen presentation in in vitro systems
- Characterizing nanoparticle uptake after in vivo application in mouse models
- Characterizing the immune response after application of nanoparticle based vaccine formulations in in vivo (mouse) models.

For this, we are looking for a student that:
- Has a background in immunology or Virology, and/or experience in working with nanoparticles
- Preferably has experience in working with animal models
- Has an excellent CV, and preferably authorship on scientific publications
- IELTS score of 6 or higher
