PhD position available in chemical and biological sensing laboratory at Michigan technological university

Full PhD assistantships are available in the smart chemical and biological sensing laboratory in the department of chemical engineering at Michigan technological university. The students will work with Dr. Yixin Liu to develop electronic noses/tongues and bio-inspired materials for chemical and biological species detection.

The positions start in august 2021 (or spring 2022). The positions are available immediately and open until filled. the applicants must have a BS or a MS degree in chemical engineering, material science or other related fields. Background in one or more areas of semiconductors, catalysts, polymers, electrochemistry, optics, microfluidics, is desired but not required.
