Helmholtz-OCPC Chinese postdoc program (DESY) - XFEL + AI

待遇 15万人民币/年 (税前/中方支付)+ 1.8万欧元/年(税后/德方支付)=  大约 3.6 万欧元/年(税后)。这个待遇在德国对于刚毕业的博士是很不错的,尤其对于单身人士,因为不用在德国缴税。

desy (www.desy.de )是德国helmholtz联合会下属的18个国家实验室之一,是世界最先进的加速器研究中心之一。该博后位置的主要研究方向是将人工智能技术应用于大型自由电子激光装置(flash and european xfel) 的控制和优化。我们这边的申报2月12号截止。我们希望先找到有意向而且合适的候选人, 然后根据候选人的专业背景决定具体的研究方向(比如您是擅长束流动力学模拟、机器学习、大数据管道还是软件开发等)。正式职位放出来后,候选人还需走正式的申请流程。

应聘条件:

1. phd in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, etc.
2. excellent knowledge in at least two of the following areas: (1) big data analysis and data engineering in python, (2) hand-on experience with deep learning using tensorflow and/or pytorch, (3) experience with high performance parallel computing infrastructure for hpc environments, (4)  beam dynamics simulation with astra, elegant, impact-t, etc. (5) significant contribution to open source projects in github/gitlab.
3. background in particle accelerators is a big advantage.
4. programming skills in c++ 11/14/17 is an advantage.
5. desire to work in international and interdisciplinary teams is expected.
6. good english language skills are required.
7. young scientists under the age of 35 with chinese passport, having taken their degree or to take their phd degree before the final decision in september 2021 in china or abroad or even abroad at the time of application, are also eligible to apply as long as they could find a postdoc research station to accept their application and to make further recommendation to ocpc.
