投稿字数超了，在cover letter里面怎么向编辑部解释，求指点
最近投稿了一篇JORS，编辑部很快给了一个意见，如下：
Please note that your paper considerably exceeds the word limit for the Journal (over 14,000 words). Please include, in the Cover Letter section, comments explaining why it is over the words limit.
Please see the Word Limits section at the link below for more information.
我是LaTeX编辑的，用的期刊默认模板。目前已尝试删减字数，latex显示的字数从10500左右删减到了9600左右，页面从30页减到了27页，感觉不好删了。此外，论文包含11个表格和5个图片。
求大神指点在cover letter里面怎么向编辑部解释。

这主要还是你的表和图多了，增加了字数统计，你就解释这些数据都是核心的，不能删减了，因此增加了字数，
请问JORS有页数限制吗？
不用解释了，直接将有的不是很重要的内容放到支撑文件中即可
