土壤中铁矿物形态分析

近期分析了土壤中不同形态的铁矿物,用的是传统的DCB、酸性草酸铵以及焦磷酸钠溶液提取,分别对应不同形态的铁矿物(比如晶态铁、无定型铁和有机结合铁)。

但经历了几个审稿人,都说这种提取方式不能很好的提取土壤中的不同形态铁?而且语气很差的说“不关注最新科研动态”。不是一个审稿人,而是三四个审稿人。

例如:一个审稿人  The authors have severely misunderstood metal extraction from soil, as the term “free oxides” is obsolete, oxalate does not exclusively extract amorphous forms, pyrophosphate does not exclusively extract organic forms, and the difference between DCB- and oxalate-extracted contents is no measure of crystalline forms. The authors should check the recent literature, as even reviews exist.

另一个审稿人  Unlike the authors point out in lines 119-127, DCB does not dissolve only "crystalline Al/Fe-(hydr)oxides (Fed and Ald)" (Al is not reduced by dithionite at all), nor does oxalate dissolve "amorphous Al/Fe-(hydr)oxides (Feo and Alo)", nor does pyrophosphate dissolve "organic complex Al-/Fe-(hydr)oxides (Fep and Alp)". Especially the pyrophosphate fraction is ill defined. Pyrophosphate is a dispersing agent, releasing both Fe and Al oxide particles and particulate organic matter, apart from Fe and Al in organic complexes. None of the extractions is necessarily selective or complete. However, all of this is known for decades and published in several review articles. Then, they carried out correlation analyses, which, however, do not mean causation, given the analytical restrictions mentioned before.
