The Interdisciplinary Research Unit Mathematics and Life Sciences of the University of Bonn offers to host CSC Fellowship Applicants for
PhD positions in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
The University of Bonn was founded in 1818 and is one of Germany's most important institutes of higher education. As a place of learning to over 38,000 students, it enjoys an outstanding reputation both at home and abroad. It is one of the world's leading research-based universities and operates on an international level. In the recent excellence initiative, the University of Bonn was the most successful university in Germany.

In this excellent scientific environment, the Interdisciplinary Research Unit Mathematics and Life Sciences (https://www.mathematics-and-life-sciences.uni-bonn.de/en) develops and applies novel mathematical approaches and software tools for data analysis and modelling. The research unit is led by Prof. Dr. Jan Hasenauer. Applications areas include cancer and immunology (including SARS-CoV-2 research), with an emphasis on high-throughput (single-cell) data. We are intensively collaboration for world leading experts for mathematics and immunology in the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, ImmunoSensation2, and the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases.
We are happy to offer possibilities to outstanding students and already host one CSC fellow. Currently, we are looking in particular for students which can contributed to our research on
