Before sending your manuscript for external review, I have examined it for its potential fit with the goals and scope of ACS Catalysis. For reports of heterogeneous catalysts such as yours, we typically require more data than provided, for example detailed studies of reuse, metal contamination of products and some insight into mechanism would be expected. I cannot guarantee that the paper would be acceptable for publication should these studies be completed, but this is the minimum that we would expect to see. As these would require substantial more experimental work, I am returning the publication to you with my best wishes for its rapid publication elsewhere should that be your preference.
