ultrafast laser spectroscopy post-doctoral researcher at kaust

major duties and responsibilities:
1-      conduct research in ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy of nanomaterials including 2d materials and perovskites.
2-      analyze and interpret time-resolved experimental data
3-      function as an independent researcher with a high-level of attention to detail.
4-      great ability to write and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals in a timely manner.

basic qualifications:
•       ph.d. in chemistry, physics, optics, materials science or a closely related field within the past five years.

preferred qualifications:
•       experience with ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopic techniques
•       ability to work in a very dynamic research environment
•       an excellent record of productive and creative research shown by publications.
•       excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in english.


proposed start date: july 1, 2020
length of term: one year with a possibility of extension up to three years
salary: highly competitive with excellent benefits including housing, health insurance and travel allowance
