we currently have opening for two  ph.d. students at the university of manitoba for summer or fall 2020 intake with financial support. the ph.d. positions will focus on the theoretical modeling of the fundamental thermodynamics and kinetics of grain boundaries by using atomistic simulation tools.

candidates with strong interests and background in materials science or physics are encouraged to contact dr. deng (chuang.deng@umanitoba.ca) directly. please include your cv, transcript(s), and indicate your interested area of research in the inquiry.
