waste management 期刊投稿求助
请问各位大侠：waste management 期刊中图和表一起限制不能超过8个，但是我的文章中图有14副，表有7个。可删除的比较少，最多可以删除2个表，图片几乎不能删了。我投稿了之后（我在cover letter里说明了：There are 3591 words, 7 tables and 14 figures in this paper. Although the figures exceed the requirements of “Waste Management”, we think they are very important and they are the strong support of this paper.）
编辑的回复是：The number of figures + tables should be no more than 8. The less relevant ones should be placed in a separate supplementary information file and upload as e-component in the system.数字+表格的数量不应超过8个。不太相关的应放在单独的补充信息文件中，并作为电子组件上传到系统中。 但是我的图都是非常重要的图，而且还不能合并。这个怎么整呢？ 我看这个期刊上面有作者的文章其实也有图特别多的，我看到的一篇2018年的就有17个图，3个表。但是编辑对我的回复是should be no more than 8. 我应该怎么办？

你查看一下是不是很多文章都超过这个限制了，如果是那你就直接投，再有，14图+7表是显得太啰嗦多了，肯定有可以放辅助文件的
我就是直接投了 ，然后隔天就收到了编辑部的回复。我的论文是关于动力学方面的，再怎么样都不可能做到图+表<8个的。最多删1-2个图啊。8个图表以内的关于工艺方面的文章很少，我看的一般都是图特别多的。该期刊中也有少的，也有多的。不知道咋整
如果编辑硬要你缩减图的话，你就把那些次重要的放进辅助文件，工艺过程的图可以大部分放进去，只留最终的动力学方程即可
编辑已经点明了规定的图表数量，就不用纠结了直接SI吧。作文正文的支撑，SI什么都可以放
没明白SI 是什么意思？
P.S. 此期刊投稿指南写了一句：Full length articles are limited to a combined total of 8 tables and figures. If the length of the manuscript, by either the word count or the number of tables and figures, exceeds the limit, then the authors must justify this in their cover letter.
应该是超了做个说明就可以呀，而且有文章17图的都可以
，
SI = supplementary information
那把多的图片放supplementary information，这些图还能放在正文中吗？
