我昨天投稿一篇论文至elsevier旗下期刊，今天收到这个反馈，要求对论文进行修改：
请问这是重复率超过期刊规定的意思吗？

The journal uses crossref similarity check powered by ithenticate software to check the originality of manuscripts. In reviewing your manuscript, it has got 33% similarity in total (excluding references listed), in which 5% is from one single source.

It is the policy of the journal to publish new and original work. Text copied from copyrighted works from third parties, even in an introduction, should never be used without clearly identifying the other source (either by quotations or indentations).  Every paper should present some novelty and new results in the form of a unique paper written in an author's own words. Therefore, the manuscript cannot be considered in its current form.
