nubs china is an integral part of the nottingham university business school awarding the same internationally recognized degrees offered by nottingham in the uk. in operation for only seven eight, nubs china already has approximately 2,000 undergraduate students, 300 masters students, a small ph.d. program, and growing executive education activity. it has a rapidly expanding international faculty of about 80 coming from about 25 countries permanently based in ningbo.  it is equis accredited and is part of a university that is highly rated and is seeking to improve further its ranking among the world’s top research and teaching universities. nubs china carries out instruction in english and is significantly increasing its research focus and provides an excellent environment and conditions for scholars interested in pursuing an active research agenda.

nubs china offers european-level competitive salaries and benefits with reasonable teaching loads.in addition, an attractive international benefits package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance, support for international schooling in greater ningbo area, and insurance (including international medical insurance) will be provided for international appointments. nubs china also provides a competitive research support package for candidates showing good research output.

mission
the successful candidates will be expected to deliver lectures and seminars across all years of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes;

to supervise undergraduate, masters and potentially doctoral dissertations. in addition, there are excellent opportunities for research, and the persons appointed will be expected to develop their own research activities and to contribute to the research activities of the school.

your profile
candidates must have a phd degree in a relevant discipline. excellent research skills ideally supported by an established track record of high-quality research outputs are required and the ability to attract funding for major research projects is a distinct advantage. experience of teaching and tutorial work in relevant subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level in an international english-speaking institution is also essential.

our offer
salary will be within the range of ￡36,261- ￡48,677 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance).  in addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

others
the post will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with university of nottingham, ningbo, china for a period of 3 years starting 01 september 2019. this contract may be extended by mutual agreement.
