捷克马萨里克大学（Masaryk University） PhD Fellowships in family demography and cultural sociology

研究方向、奖学金、学制、申请流程、语言要求等信息，请参考附件中的说明。捷克生活成本不高，所以如果住学校宿舍的话（主要为两人一间宿舍、有少量为一人一间），则奖学金基本可以覆盖吃住。社会学系要求博士生毕业前发表两篇英文学术论文和两篇英文书评，这对于文科生回国找工作的竞争力来说是一个不错的加分项。博士期间要求在欧洲其他国家的合作高校交换一到两个学期，费用由校方的Erasmus funding覆盖。

（1）关于语言成绩，下面的Martin教授的回复，
graduates of MA programmes taught in English need not submit an additional proof of language competence. Alternative tests are accepted - TOEFL (IBT min. 65) and IELTS (5.5) are taken a equivalent to level B2.
这个分数要求比以前的语言要求比如雅思六点五下调了，对于申请者来说是一个不小的利好消息，感兴趣的同学抓紧申请吧。

（2）关于非社会学背景的同学是否可以申请

In principle, we would be willing to  consider him  （非社会学背景的申请人）and the decision will primarily depend on the quality of the project. If he manages to put together a good sociological project, he can be admitted and even granted a fellowship. We have had good condidates with background in other fields in  the past. Yet - if admitted- he would have to adjust his study plan accordingly and would have to spend some time taking extra courses in sociology.
