(Research Unit Technician / Bioinspired Soft Matter Unit)
The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST; see www.oist.jp) is a dynamic new institute-type university in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Position Summary
The Bioinspired Soft Matter unit (https://groups.oist.jp/bsmu) at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University is seeking qualified application for a postdoc in organic synthesis. Current research in the lab revolves around cancer treatment and tissue engineering via active and soft matter design based on pure chemical system.

Qualifications
(Required)
• Ph.D. in organic synthesis or you are due for a doctorate in organic synthesis (June or July).
• Ability to think logically and work systematically and accurately
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Starting Date
As soon as possible (Negotiable)
Term & Working hours:
Term: Term: Full-time, initial appointment for 1 year with renewable contract for maximum 3 years. Contract initially with 3-month probationary period (inclusive).
Working hours: 9:00-17:30 (Discretionary)
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation in accordance with the OIST Employee Compensation Regulations
Benefits:
Annual salary: about 5.0 M yen
