Dr. Mengmeng Zhu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science and Associate Faculty member in Operations Research Graduate Program at North Carolina State University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rutgers University in 2018 and her M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Statistics at Rutgers University in 2015 and 2016, respectively. She also has over six years' experience in industries of manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution center.
Dr. Zhu's research interests lie at system reliability engineering, software reliability, and computational data analysis with the applications in system health monitoring and control, software development and performance evaluation, energy, healthcare, and transportation infrastructure.
Dr. Zhu is looking for highly motived PhD student starting from Fall 2019 or earlier with the requirements described as follows.
1. The applicants with MS degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related majors are preferred.
2. The applicants with research interests on system reliability engineering, system prognostics and health management, software reliability, applied operations research, or other related area are highly preferred.
3. Students with only BS degree but with outstanding academic records can also apply to PhD program.
4. The stipend along with tuition will be supported for the admitted PhD student.
5. All the applicants need to meet the admission requirements of Graduate School at North Carolina State University.
