Fully funded ph.d. positions are available starting fall 2019 (or spring 2020) in autonomous systems, machine learning, human-robot interaction, and artificial intelligence. Research will be conducted in the department of electrical and computer engineering, University of Texas at San Antonio (utsa) under the supervision of Dr. Yongcan Cao.

position description:
required
-        a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field;
-        strong background in systems and control theory, signal processing, or statistics;
-        excellent writing and communication skills;
-        proficiency in python or c++.
preferred
-        master’s degree
-        experience in the robot operating system, machine learning, and deep learning
-        hands-on experience on uavs or ground robots or sensors
-        demonstrated research experience: project or publication
