Research Assistant or postgraduate student (Computational Biology)                                                                           

The appointee is expected to develop online sequence database, sequence analysis pipeline and its mobile interface for data transferring and reporting of data analysis.

Applicants should have a Bachelor隆炉s or Master隆炉s degree in computer science.  Candidates with strong background in programming with PYTHON, Java, MATLAB, SQL and/or C++ are preferred.  Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating system is expected. Knowledge / Work experience in biology-related areas is preferred.

Research Assistant or postgraduate student (Genome biology)                                                                             

The appointee is expected to purify ultra-long high quality of DNAs/RNAs from a variety of samples, including model organisms, cell line or human tissues. He or she is also expected to use the purified nucleic acids for building various sequencing libraries for third-generation DNA sequencing, including Nanopore sequencing.

Applicants should have a Bachelor隆炉s or Master隆炉s degree in molecular biology. Candidates with strong background in genetics and genomics and knowledge of genome sequence analysis are preferred.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of the funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
