Post-doctoral Research Fellow                                                                             

The appointee is expected to conduct research work on the development of new applications including but not limited to development of cancer biomarker and resolving complicated genome structural variations based on newly-developed third-generation DNA sequencing, including Nanopore DNA/RNA sequencing technology.  

Applicants should have a PhD degree in molecular biology, genetics and/or computational biology. Solid background in generation and analysis of genomic and functional genomic data is essential for the successful implementation of the project. He or she is expected to work in an interdisciplinary environment.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of the funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
