Manuscripts are usually evaluated by two editors within hours of submission.

We have carefully examined your paper and determined that there is insufficient urgency for communicating this work as a Letter. We would, however, encourage you to submit a revised and expanded version of the manuscript as a regular article submitted to JPC B. You will need to judge how best to revise and expand your manuscript, but may involve including additional data, analysis and discussion that could not fit into the Letters format, but is appropriate for a regular article. When submitting to JPC B be sure to indicate the past submission history and include the JPC Letters manuscript number. Your manuscript will be evaluated independently by a different editor.
