最近投了《Marine and petroleum geology》，编辑给我回了个奇怪的问题，
他说我Figures and tables: improve the quality and effectiveness in conveying your ideas.
这是什么意思？是这个期刊作图有要求？我用Excel做的。
还有他推荐我用一个professional editing service重新编辑我的文章。

你的图表的质量以及想要表达的内容（应该与你论文的主要观点紧紧结合）都比较含糊，

估计你文章里面的图件，表格和语言都没有达到JMPG的送审的最低要求，建议重新加工一下图表，并且润色一下paper，投稿时附上润色证明，good luck！
图表有点词不达意，英语需要润色。
