Research Area/Description:  
The research group “Information Systems & Service Design” (ISSD) (https://issd.iism.kit.edu/) headed by Prof. Mädche focuses in research and education on designing interactive intelligent information systems and digital service systems.  

The research group is embedded into the Information Systems & Engineering Group (https://ise.iism.kit.edu/index.php) and belongs to the Institute of Information Systems and Marketing (IISM) (https://www.iism.kit.edu/) and the Karlsruhe Service Research Institute (KSRI)  (https://www.ksri.kit.edu/). We investigate the lifecycle of information systems from a user-centered perspective as well as novel concepts of interactive intelligent systems for enterprises and the society.

Specific research interests are:
-        User-Centered Design Processes, Techniques, and Tools
-        User Experience-Aware Systems (Eye-Tracking, Neuro-Adaptive Systems)
-        Digital Assistants (Chatbots, Conversational Agents)
-        Interactive Machine Learning
-        Self-Service Analytics

Specific Requirements:
•        University M.Sc. degree with a focus on computer science, industrial engineering  & management, human-computer interaction, interaction design or related fields.
•        Previous knowledge in the field of intelligent assistance functions, machine learning, process mining or robotic process automation.
•        Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
