Applications are invited for appointment as Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology.
 
Applicants should possess a PhD degree in microbiology/structural biology or a related area. Research experience and strong hands on skills in microbiology, molecular/structural biology, and/or animal handling with a solid publication record would be an advantage.
 
We are looking for applicants with excellent communication skills of oral and written English; curiosity and passion in research; self-motivation; the ability to work independently and in a team; and the capability of working under pressure.
 
The appointee will take part in a five-year drug discovery research program. He/She will be expected for assisting the Principle Investigator with research project management, the planning and performing of experiments, data collection and interpretation as well as mentoring research assistants and postgraduate students. He/She will also be involved in the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications. The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin.
