applications are invited for postdoctoral fellowships in the group of prof. xiang sun at nyu shanghai. successful fellow will conduct research on developing computational methods for chemical dynamics in the condensed phase and simulation of nonlinear spectroscopies. specifically, force fields will be developed for light-harvesting systems in condensed phase, which would enable classical molecular dynamics, mixed quantum-classical dynamics, and semiclassical simulations of such systems in liquid solutions and interfaces. novel quantum dynamical methods will be applied to nonlinear spectroscopies. more details can be found at https://wp.nyu.edu/xiangsun.
research at nyu shanghai is supported by the center for computational chemistry, a research institute operated jointly by nyu, nyu shanghai, and east china normal university (ecnu). the center has a core group of faculty members who are conducting frontier research in various fields of computational chemistry, biology, and material sciences. more details can be found at https://research.shanghai.nyu.edu/chemistry.
qualifications
• ph.d. in chemistry, physics, or related fields.
• experience with developing molecular dynamics and quantum chemistry codes.
• experience with force field development and excited-state electronic structure.
• programming experience in c/c++, fortran, python, and unix/linux bash.
• fluency in english.

课题组简介
孙翔博士,2008年毕业于中国科学技术大学化学物理系,2014年获美国布朗大学理论化学博士学位。2014年至2017年在密歇根大学安娜堡分校进行博士后研究。2018年加入上海纽约大学任助理教授同时是独立项目负责人(PI),并成为华东师范大学-纽约大学计算化学联合研究中心(上海纽约大学)的成员。孙翔博士的主要研究领域涉及理论化学、量子动力学、统计力学、超快光谱学等,并在超快非线性光谱和量子动力学等领域有了原创性的科研成果。
职位描述
申请人将主要致力于开发新的计算方法以应用于凝聚态中的化学动力学和超快非线性光谱的模拟,特别是针对溶液和界面中的有机光伏分子和发光分子等的光诱导电荷和能量转移动力学以及结构动力学。申请人将发展相应的经典分子动力学,混合量子-经典,半经典和路径积分方法。应用新的动力学方法于非线性光谱的模拟将有助于揭示光谱背后的重要分子信息。
职位要求
• 已获或将获化学,物理或相关领域博士学位
• 具有分子动力学模拟和量子化学计算的经验
• 具有C/C++,Fortran或Python开发动力学代码的经验
• 具有良好的英语听说读写能力
