Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available on an ongoing NIH-funded project to examine disease pathways in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The successful candidate is expected to take a lead role in bioinformatics and statistical analyses of RNA-seq data (coding and long non-coding RNAs) from multiple data points before, during and after pregnancy to assess how changes in gene expression could be influencing the disease, and to understand why RA improves naturally during pregnancy.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics or similar field, and must be proficient in scripting programming languages such as R and Python. Prior experience in analyses of RNA-seq data and/or other omics data is a plus.

生物信息学方向确实是一个比较热门的专业, 可以省去做动物传染病实验的麻烦, 这个专业需要一些基本的计算机技术，基因树可以预测人类遗传性疾病可能会发生在后代什么人身上, 从而做到提早预防，美国对计算机技术要求比较高, 大专学校的老师都是哈佛master毕业。生物专业的学生必须跟美国所有本科院校的计算机专业的学生去参加考试。
但是我个人认为计算机技术学起来并不难。这个学校比UCB要差一些，但是也是加州地区有名的学校了。在全世界五大洲都享有盛誉。欢迎大家申请，
