We are looking for an outstanding candidate to fill a full time postdoctoral position in the areas of all solid state batteries research at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, National University of Singapore. The candidate will explore all solid state batteries development using various material synthesis techniques and processes.  You will be part of a young and growing research group working at the forefront of energy storage technology.

Requirement:
•        PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or any relevant science and engineering disciplines.
•        The candidate is familiar with electrochemistry, solid state ionic transport, polymer synthesis, and standard material characterization methods such as TEM, SEM, XRD and electrochemical testing.
•        Prior experience with in-situ TEM characterization is a bonus but not a requirement
•        Experience with battery research preferred
•        You are driven, independent and resourceful
•        Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and good communication skills

About the PI:
Dr. Zheng Guangyuan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at National University of Singapore. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from University of Cambridge and his PhD at Stanford University. His PhD research work focused on developing high capacity electrodes for advanced lithium batteries. Dr. Zheng carried out post-doctoral work in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University, under the supervision of Prof. Yi Cui and Prof. Steven Chu. Dr. Zheng has published more than 50 papers in journals like Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communication, Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, Nano Letters, Energy and Environmental Sciences  etc., and the papers have been cited more than 11000 times. Dr. Zheng is a recipient of the Material Research Society Graduate Student Award, and the National Science Scholarship from A*STAR. He was also nominated as a finalist for the 2014 World Technology Award and the recipient of the 2018 MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 Asia award. ·µ»ØÐ¡Ä¾³æ²é¿´¸ü¶à
