This is a courtesy message to let you know that your manuscript, though now severely delayed in peer review, is being monitored for continued forward progress. I would like to apologize for the continued delay. We are attempting to let the peer review process run its course, albeit slowly, after an initial delay. We will, however, intervene shortly, if necessary, to ensure a decision is posted.

As a reminder, the original reason for the delay was due to:

A delay caused by a reviewer rescinding their original offer to provide a review. This has forced the journal to dispatch a new round of invitations with those reviewers needing to be given sufficient time to complete a review.
